NEW YORK and MANCHESTER, United Kingdom, Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Interact Software, an AI-native employee experience and enterprise intranet platform provider, today announced Interact MCP, bringing 700 intranet capabilities into compatible enterprise AI assistants and agents.
Interact MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that connects approved AI assistants with Interact’s workplace knowledge and tools. It enables employees to work with intranet content, communications and analytics through AI environments including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Gemini Enterprise, using their existing permissions.
For enterprises investing in AI infrastructure, the breadth of those capabilities determines how much work assistants can support. Interact MCP covers 26 areas of the intranet, from content and communications to communities and analytics, giving authorized users the ability to search, read, create, edit and act through the same checked tools that power Cue and Conductor. Available actions depend on the assistant, configuration and the user’s existing access.
The announcement addresses a practical question for enterprise AI buyers: what can an assistant actually do with the systems employees depend on? Connecting an assistant to an intranet gives it access to a defined set of tools as well as information, allowing supported tasks to move forward from the conversation.
“Enterprise AI becomes more useful when it can work with the knowledge and tools a business depends on,” said Tom Walters, VP of Product at Interact Software. “With Interact MCP, approved assistants can help people find answers, update content and act across the intranet using the same tools that power Cue and Conductor. Employees gain more ways to get work done, while organizations retain control over access and changes.”
Workplace knowledge and actions in existing AI tools
For communications, HR and IT teams, the value lies in connecting questions with work that can be completed through approved tools. Interact MCP exposes platform capabilities through a consistent interface, so organizations can evaluate what an agent is allowed to do as well as which information it can retrieve.
For example, a question about accepting a supplier gift can be answered from the relevant policy, with a link employees can check. A communications team working on a parental leave update can prepare a page and revise approved wording. A platform owner reviewing engagement can compare audiences and identify where more investigation is needed. Each task remains subject to the access held by the employee requesting it.
The connection also works in the other direction. Conductor can reach supported MCP-enabled workplace systems, including Workday and SAP, bringing connected services into Interact. This gives organizations a way to connect their intranet with the assistants and systems they already use.
Built on Cue and Conductor
Cue provides a personalized employee experience, helping people find information, understand priorities and take authorized next steps. Conductor supports the communications, HR and IT teams managing that experience, translating goals into coordinated work with human review. Interact MCP makes the underlying product capabilities available to compatible external assistants and agents.
This shared foundation means organizations can choose where employees begin a task while retaining the platform capabilities behind it. The employee may start in Interact or in an approved assistant; their identity, permissions and the rules governing the requested action remain central to how the work proceeds.
Enterprise controls across AI interactions
Every request runs as the signed-in employee. Administrators decide which tools are enabled, and changes pass through Interact’s validation, version history and attribution. Organizations can extend access to approved assistants while retaining control of intranet information and actions.
Availability
Full availability of Interact MCP is planned for later in 2026, with earlier access available to customers who are ready. It comes with Cue or Conductor without a separate connector fee. Access depends on provider subscriptions, configuration and employee roles; ChatGPT write actions are currently in beta.
