Beach House Frozen Yogurt’s CAC designation supports Greater Palm Springs’ Certified Autism Destination™ designation.
PALM SPRINGS, CA, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Known for its fun, family-friendly beach-themed atmosphere, Beach House Frozen Yogurt proudly announces its Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation. This designation, awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), recognizes organizations where at least 80% of guest-facing staff complete specialized autism and sensory training. Through the training, Beach House Frozen Yogurt’s staff has gained the knowledge and skills to better welcome, communicate with, and support autistic and sensory-sensitive guests.
As a Certified Autism Center™, Beach House Frozen Yogurt is committed to creating a welcoming experience for every guest,” says Joshua Ballard, owner of Beach House Frozen Yogurt. “Our team has completed specialized training to better understand and support individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities. We strive to provide a patient, understanding, and accommodating environment, and our staff is happy to work with families to make each visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.”
Training provides staff with clear, standardized protocols for interacting with guests with autism and other invisible disabilities. This reduces hesitation and guesswork, creating better, more confident service and improving guest experience.
“Whether it’s enjoying a sweet treat with family or gathering with friends, everyone deserves to feel welcomed and included,” says Myron Pincomb, IBCCES CEO & board chairman. “By becoming a Certified Autism Center™, Beach House Frozen Yogurt is demonstrating its commitment to creating a more accessible and supportive experience for autistic and sensory-sensitive guests while strengthening Greater Palm Springs’ Certified Autism Destination™ initiative.”
By earning the Certified Autism Center™ designation, Beach House Frozen Yogurt is contributing to the broader accessibility initiative led by Visit Greater Palm Springs, which helped the region achieve the Certified Autism Destination™ (CAD) designation. The CAD designation means visitors have access to multiple trained and certified options throughout the destination, including dining, entertainment, recreation, and lodging.
